Orfeas Villas

In the age of gods and heroes, there lived a musician of such extraordinary gift that the rivers paused their flow to listen, the trees uprooted themselves to draw closer, and the stones wept at the beauty of his song. His name was Orfeas, son of Apollo and the muse Calliope, and his lyre held the power to move all living things.

When his beloved Eurydice was taken from him, struck down by a serpent on the very day of their wedding, Orfeas did what no mortal had ever dared. He descended into the Underworld itself, past the three-headed guardian Cerberus, past the river of the dead, to stand before Hades and Persephone and play the most sorrowful melody ever heard.

So moved were the rulers of the dead that they granted his impossible wish: Eurydice would follow him back to the world of the living. There was only one condition: he must not look back until they had both crossed the threshold of the Underworld. Step by agonising step, Orfeas climbed toward the light, unable to hear her footsteps behind him. At the very edge of the living world, overcome by love and doubt, he turned.

And lost her forever. Yet his love endured, a testament to the truth that some things in life are worth risking everything for. That the greatest pursuits demand the greatest faith.
